Next Week's Game Plan 🎯

🗓️US Macro Calendar Next Week (August 31, 2026) – Key Events for Market🗓️

➡️Monday: Chicago PMI (Aug).

➡️Tuesday: S&P Global/ISM Manufacturing PMI (Aug), JOLTS Job Openings (Jul), Construction Spending (Jul).

➡️Wednesday: ADP Nonfarm Employment Change (Aug), Factory Orders (Jul), Beige Book.

➡️Thursday: Initial Jobless Claims, S&P Global Services PMI (Aug), ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI (Aug).

➡️Friday: Nonfarm Payrolls (Aug), Unemployment Rate (Aug).

🔹Monday: New orders dropped hard and the index undercut other August surveys. Traders will watch whether that was a local/sample quirk or an early warning for Tuesday’s national manufacturing numbers.

🔹Tuesday: First national read on whether August manufacturing held up or followed Chicago lower; labor-demand snapshot via JOLTS.

🔹Wednesday: Private jobs preview + qualitative Fed color.

🔹Thursday: Services (most of the economy) vs. claims. A firm services print with low claims keeps the “cooling, not breaking” story intact.

🔹Friday: The week’s main event. A modest rebound with stable jobless rate and contained wages supports the Fed’s current stance; a second weak print or hotter wages would shift rate expectations.

🚨Most Anticipated Earnings Next Week (August 31, 2026)🚨

➡️ Monday: $SAIC (SAIC).

➡️ Tuesday: $NIO (NIO), $DELL (Dell Technologies), $PANW (Palo Alto Networks), $MDB (MongoDB), $CRDO (Credo), $GTLB (GitLab).

➡️ Wednesday: $AVGO (Broadcom), $SNOW (Snowflake), $HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprise), $NTAP (NetApp), $FIVE (Five Below).

➡️ Thursday: $CIEN (Ciena), $PATH (UiPath), $ZS (Zscaler), $LULU (lululemon), $DOCU (DocuSign), $AMBA (Ambarella).

➡️ Friday: $KNOP (KNOT Offshore Partners).

🔹🤖 AI infrastructure & connectivity — AVGO, CRDO, CIEN, AMBA:

Broadcom sets the tone for custom AI silicon, networking, and VMware software attach. Credo shows whether high-speed copper/optical interconnect demand inside the rack is still exploding. Ciena is the optical backbone check for data-center and metro buildouts. Ambarella adds an edge-AI / vision-chip read. Together they answer whether the AI capex cycle is still accelerating or starting to get more selective.

🔹🔐 Cyber, data & enterprise software — PANW, ZS, SNOW, MDB, PATH, DOCU, GTLB:

These names tell you if companies are still spending on security, data platforms, and automation after a long software digestion period. Palo Alto and Zscaler are the cybersecurity pulse. Snowflake and MongoDB show whether data-cloud and developer database spend is reaccelerating. UiPath, DocuSign, and GitLab reveal how much enterprises are still paying for workflow, e-signature, and DevOps tools heading into the fall planning cycle.

🔹 🖥️ Servers, storage & gov IT — DELL, HPE, NTAP, SAIC:

Dell and HPE are the AI-server and traditional hardware barometer — especially important after a strong PC/server rebound narrative. NetApp is the storage/data-management companion to that buildout. SAIC is the government-IT / federal-services check. This basket says whether hardware demand is broadening beyond a handful of hyperscalers.

🔹 🛍️ Consumer & discretionary — FIVE, LULU, NIO:

Five Below and Lululemon give a clean read on value vs. premium consumer spending just as back-to-school turns into fall. NIO is the China EV sentiment print — deliveries, margins, and cash burn will tell you if the domestic price war is easing or still crushing the group.
